Card Member Services Rep I
I worked in the Card Services department at CEFCU as a Card Member Services Rep 1. My position handled calls for both debit cards & credit cards, as well as certain checking account issues. In addition to handling these calls, I completed online ticket requests, which included adding notes for travel plans, reordering lost cards, & issuing new boxes of checks to members. I helped train new hires in the department & was an original member of our department’s special Promotions Team. On that team I helped bring awareness of the great features CEFCU has to offer members to help improve their financial well-being.
Freelance Actress, Costume Designer, Playwright, & Dialect Coach
I work as an Actress in professional & community theatre productions. I occasionally work behind the scenes for shows as a Costume Designer or Dialect Coach. Previously, I’ve had roles as the lead actress in multiple independent films with various companies. I have also had one of my own plays performed at Illinois State University. Please see "Projects" listed below for details.
Substitute Teacher
I was granted a substitute teaching license for teaching elementary school students, middle school students, & high school students. My specialty areas for teaching are Theatre, English, & History. My license expires 6/30/2029.
Customer Service Staff
I was a member of the First Ascent opening team in Peoria. My role was customer service staff, where I gave tours of the gym, sold memberships, handled retail, gave bouldering orientations, answered incoming calls, & offered tips & advice to new climbers & clients. Certified in CPR/AED, I also did frequent safety sweeps for the gym, & responded to incidents & followed up with reports afterwards. My specialty, however, was working with kids interested in rock climbing. I’d tailor orientations to help them understand the differences between bouldering & climbing with harnesses, I showed them ways to climb & fall safely, & then had them try. I also suggested different games they could play to help them gain strength & confidence in their ability. I was asked to be a Youth Lead Instructor for the tall walls that opened April 6.
Hostess
I worked as a hostess, busser, & backserver at One World Cafe. I worked as a flight crew cast member at Star Tours: The Adventure Continues in Disney's Hollywood Studios. There I rotated between 10+ different roles interacting with guests, including: Welcome Agent, Ticket Checkpoint Agent, Concourse, Merge, Glasses Distribution, Glasses Collection, Boarding, Gates, Gate Assist, Arrival, etc. My daily role included assisting guests, creating the atmosphere of Star Wars through my monologues to guests, answering any questions guests may have, & making sure that Star Tours is safe, efficient, & show ready at all times.I also worked Crowd Control & Team Captain for the nightly fireworks show, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.I was chosen to be opening team for both Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away & March of the First Order.
Concessions/Character
I was one of the leaders in charge of selling concessions & simultaneously working as a hawker throughout the stadium. I dressed up in character & interacted with the audience as an overly energetic super fan that really knows nothing about baseball. My character was well received by the customers, and I made sure that my performance didn't get in the way of my work. I mainly worked at the registers and helped monitor and manage any new hires by showing & teaching them how each concession stand worked. I would always try to entertain the customers & engage with them, so that they left with a great experience at the baseball game.
Seasonal Employee
I worked as seasonal help from early November through the end of December. While working there I assisted customers, worked at the registers, organized, and helped promote the products on display. My focus was in the women's section, including accessories & lingerie. I would also occasionally work in the pre-teen, teen, & children's section of the store. I worked efficiently and made sure the holiday shopping experience was ideal for each customer. While working there we were visited by the CEO of Gordmans, who applauded us for being one of the most popular and well-recieved stores in the midwest area.
