The median Student Growth Percentile on the CAS assessment for students I taught was 63 compared to the school MGP of 51, exhibiting statistically significant growth rates. This same year, students performed at or above BASIS network average in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 comprehensive exams.Led a group of 4 other teachers in the department to develop the mathematics department common expectations and best-practices upon the opening of the school in 2012.Upon identifying areas of improvement for student achievement, developed and implemented the school-wide “Math Rebound” program as a framework for support and a structure for upholding an uncompromising set of high expectations for all students.Developed, implemented, and coordinated the school’s first peer tutoring program for mathematics which paired an average of 175 students together each year since Spring 2013, resulting in increased access to support and a culture of collaboration among students. -
