CurrentKathleen Delano is Chief Executive Officer of PMIC Incorporated, a management and strategic advisory firm based in Northern Virginia. She is a subject matter expert on strategic communications, negotiations, employee engagement, training, and professional services. PMIC Incorporated is proud to be a WOSB and VA-certified SWaM GovCon. Primary author, PMIC’s United States Government-commissioned Impact Study and Report: Restrictive Travel Policy Projected Impacts and Mission-Critical Goals. The study examined potential impacts to national defense, safety, health, economy, and technology if OMB Memorandum 12-12 continued to limit the ability of government researchers and scientists to travel to collaborate with peers in the private sector and academia. In November, 2016, OMB Memorandum 12-12 was overturned. During her career at firms including Deloitte, PwC, McGuireWoods, Littler Mendelson, and Robert Half Legal, Kathleen was responsible for originating more than $1 Billion in new business, as well as managing highly sensitive strategic campaigns on behalf of her firms.Kathleen is a frequent public speaker, including on Capitol Hill, National Academy of Sciences, City Club, AFOSR, Press Club, Army Research Lab, George Mason University, among other venues, on issues ranging from national security to employee engagement. Kathleen launched the #LetOurScientistsGo campaign to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining the nation’s technical and scientific leadership through robust investment in U.S. R&D.
