Oncternal Therapeutics is focused on the development of monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and engineered T-cells (CAR-T) directed at a tumor marker called ROR-1. Kathy assisted with negotiations and closing of a merger with another private company.

Clarify Medical (formerly Skylit Medical) is designing and developing a hand held connected UVB device for the in-home treatment of psoriasis, eczema and vitiligo. Kathy led the efforts to raise over $5M in seed financing.

MDRejuvena was focused on premium and proprietary skincare products that rejuvenate, enhance and maintain skin health. Kathy set up all accounting and HR systems to facilitate the efficient operations of the company.

BioSurplus buys, sells, auctions, repairs and manages pre-owned scientific lab equipment to and from biotech companies, universities and research institutions. Kathy raised an oversubscribed equity round and follow on offering, and refinanced the company’s debt on very attractive terms. In addition, Kathy was instrumental in the company tripling its revenues and doubling the number of employees.

Kathy participated in the raising of over $12 million in private placements for this startup company.

Arthur Andersen was one of the largest and most successful of the then “Big 6” accounting firms, providing audit, tax, consulting, financial advisory and risk management services to a select group of clients. Kathy planned and performed financial auditing engagements for public and private clients in the biotechnology, healthcare, technology, not-for-profit, hospitality and banking industries.
