Customer-facing product work concentrated on enhancing flexibility within the cosigner application, including a pre-qualification experience powered by AWS Lex. I lead the product life cycle, from usability research design, user testing, and analysis, aiming for improved end-user engagement with informatics software solutions. I provide informatics expertise in developing or modifying existing tools for EHR and research data integration, evaluate software usability, and prepare project deliverables. Current research focuses on quantifying best practice guidelines for pharmacogenomics research data dictionary development to be mapped to standard medical terminologies.

I am also responsible for all aspects of human subjects research studies, from study design and participant recruitment, to the management and analysis of data using R, and all the way to the preparation of study deliverables (marketing materials, digital products, abstracts, posters, or manuscripts).

I managed clinical databases for projects within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, maintained data and forms within electronic data capture systems (REDCap) for research projects, and then analyzed them in Excel, SPSS, or SAS.These clinical projects examine the protective effects of acetaminophen against oxidative injury in septic patients with detectable plasma cell-free hemoglobin, increasing utilization of transplanted lungs using an open lung protective ventilator (OLPV) strategy, and studying the trends in biomarkers that could diagnose or offer patient prognosis on acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

I'm responsible for data entry into IDRIS, literature reviews, data analysis, and various infectious disease epidemiology project tasks. I assist the Hepatitis C planning committee with starting new Hepatitis C treatment programs in various clinics throughout the Greater New Orleans area and Baton Rouge, including protocol revisions and educational meetings. I am currently undertaking a project examining the trends in the co-infection of HIV and Hepatitis C in Louisiana.

I perform immunoassays (ELISA) for Lassa and HIV antigen strains to test antibody responses to certain cell lines. These cell lines are then purified and re-tested. Further positives are analyzed and sent to a laboratory for vaccine research.

I'm responsible for creating a database for the Women, Infants, & Children Clinic in Central City for the purposes of analyzing demographics and the clinic's current breast-feeding patients. The overall goal of the database is to carefully look at whether WIC provided support services for victims of child abuse and homicide.

I am responsible for data entry, coding, analysis, preparation, and collection. Other duties include programming and testing surveys, updating and checking powerpoint presentations, and utilizing various statistical programs and database programs. I also train other research assistants with activities and participate in staff training meetings.

My responsibilities include stimuli development, norming of the stimuli, experiment design and programming, subject recruitment via UIC’s undergraduate PECOLSUS system, running experiments, calibrating the Eyelink 1000 eye tracker, entering, coding, and analyzing data. I have created my independent project and presented it at multiple national and international conferences. It is currently in preparation to be sent out for publication.
