In this role, my remit expanded to lead Learning & Development for all of Group Compliance including the following portfolios: Financial Crime; Operational Risk & Compliance; Corporate Centre & Services; Technology, Outsourcing & Continuity Risk; Regulatory & Conduct Risk; Data Management, Analytics & Validation; and Strategy, Enablement & Learning. My team and I support the delivery of Group Compliance’s strategic priorities through the development of a learning framework, culture and infrastructure that encourages knowledge sharing, collaboration and building of workforce capability.

In this greenfield role, I was responsible for setting the strategic direction and the overall delivery of Financial Crime learning and development and communications. This included delivery of learning for our dedicated Financial Crime professionals and for the whole of bank. I established a team of dedicated practitioners to deliver solutions to enable the Financial Crime strategy, including leading the design and development of ANZ’s first Financial Crime Capability Framework.

In this role, I led cultural transformation initiatives aligned with the business strategy to ensure PwC deliver on the Employee Value Proposition to create a challenging, rewarding and positive experience. I also led a team of experienced Learning & Development practitioners to deliver a relevant and current professional core curriculum with consistent, blended learner pathways across all workforce segments from Graduate through to Partner, including onboarding and career transition programs for 8,000+ people across the firm.

Responsible for the Learning & Development needs of approximately 1,700 staff across Australia, this included design and implementation of a learning strategy to enable the strategic objectives of the firm and the Consulting business. I delivered thought leadership, stakeholder management and operations, budget management and design and delivery of programs. Working closely with other L&D leads and my high performing team across Australia, and other PwC territories to align our offer, collaborate on projects and leverage the strength of the network.

Delivered innovative initiatives to create a more inclusive working environment for everyone, challenge and develop our people to understand themselves, and encourage every day inclusive behaviours. Implemented strategies to minimise the potential for unconscious bias in people processes such as recruitment, talent identification and performance reviews. Elevate our diverse future leaders through sponsorship programs and targeted development.

Oversight for all L&D initiatives across the Australian business, including development of strategy, budget management, training needs analysis, course development, instructional design and evaluation. Managed strategic relationships with vendors, project managed training rollouts, and coached, managed and mentored the L&D team.

Managed the growing L&D function, with a focus on compliance requirements, legal technical and practice management development while challenging and changing delivery methods.

Implemented the firm's first L&D function, including training needs analysis, design and delivery, budget and vendor management.

Planned and managed extensive legal education offer including programs for lawyers’ pre and post admission, legal support staff and other professional groups. Operational management including event management, engaging appropriate presenters, budgeting, marketing, program scheduling, customer service, website and staffing.
