Kathleen is an energetic, effective and innovative educator and community planner who has over twenty-five years experience fostering social change on a macro, socio-economic level as an urban planner and on a personal level as an adult and college instructor. She has designed and taught advanced English language, workforce and academic skill building courses to diverse, multi-cultural adults and college students in Minnesota and Poland. She has a Masters degree in Adult Education and a Minnesota adult basic education teaching license. Addressing the literacy and academic needs of diverse and disadvantaged adult learners so they can obtain professional credentials and achieve career goals is a passion for Kathleen. Before career changing to adult and higher education, she was an urban planner working with diverse communities in Minnesota and Southern California to design and create sustainable communities.
