I provide professional consulting services, including community input and engagement, mediation, facilitation, public policy research and development, community and economic development, capital facility planning, feasibility, and assessment, and grants writing and grants management.

I managed a portfolio of public / private development projects. Directed multiple Owners Representative teams. Worked on behalf of the Owner, led teams of subject matter experts through the full range of pre-development and development activities, including site search and selection, due diligence, site acquisition, architectural program development, project budget and scope reconciliation, A/E selection, design review, selection of construction delivery method, construction administration, construction close-out and post occupancy evaluation.

The Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2) program was a finalist in the Harvard University 2015 Innovations in American Government Award. SC2 also received the “Bright Idea” designation at the Harvard Government Innovator’s Network. As a Strong Cities, Strong Communities Fellow I worked on an aggressive agenda to improve economic development, city service delivery and regional cooperation in a highly challenged American city. About the SC2 Fellowship: With funding from the Rockefeller Foundation and through a partnership amongst The German Marshall Fund of the US, Cleveland State University, Virginia Tech, and HUD, 17 SC2 Fellows were placed in seven pilot US cities for two years to help strengthen neighborhoods, cities and regions by enhancing the capacity of local governments to develop and execute economic visions and strategies. About the German Marshall Fund of the US (GMF): Founded in 1972 by a gift from the people of Germany as a permanent memorial to the United State's Marshall Plan assistance, GMF is a non-partisan policy and grant making institution with programs on both sides of the Atlantic. GMF's Urban and Regional Policy Program serves as a resource and network builder for individuals and groups who make, influence and implement urban and regional policy by promoting practical, hands-on exchanges and networking activities.

The Commission assisted Ohio communities with the creation, expansion and rehabilitation of arts, cultural and sports facilities. Directed the agency, overseeing nearly $500 million in state capital improvements funds and 300 capital projects located across Ohio. Reported directly to a 12 member Commission appointed by the Governor and Legislative leaders. Responsible for project management, public information, legislative liaison activities, coordination with the Governor’s office and key policy makers, and interaction with state and local governments and nonprofit arts organizations. Key spokesperson for the agency with the legislature and external organizations.

Directed non-profit organization established to assist with the restoration of Ohio’s state capital building and grounds. Oversaw multi-million dollar capital fundraising campaign. Reported to Board of Trustees. Directed statewide public awareness campaign, including newsletter, public presentations, and development of audio visuals, collateral materials, special events, editorial boards, and press conferences. Key Accomplishments included oversight of a national design competition and exhibition for the Veterans Memorial Fountain for Ohio’s Capitol Square; coordination of development for the education center at the Capitol, and financial feasibility study and design proposals for museum shop; co-production of unique artistic and educational programs on the Capitol grounds: Voices from the Square and McKinley’s Carnation - A Celebration of Ohio’s Capitol Square; and obtaining and managing special project grants from arts and humanities councils.
