Over 20+ years ago, I happily "fell into" a HR career that has taken me coast to coast, and even beyond the US. My HR leader roles served a variety of industries and business environments. Whether as the sole HR leader or as a business unit HR director managing a team, I've tackled everything - from creating much-needed HR programs and tools to envisioning HR initiatives as part of strategic planning processes which strengthen the connections between the lives of the employees and the organization's purpose. I'm an energetic HR ‘servant leader’ who has guided HR teams and executive leaders through complex change management events. My career expertise is in creation, implementation, and improvement of HR operational and consultative programs. Training in Six Sigma methodology provided a strong foundation for such HR programs. I'm highly skilled in communications, mentoring, and integrating diverse teams around common goals. As a trusted advisor, I strongly advocate that top-down driven values are critical to support a stated mission and vision.Today more than ever, I think HR's greatest contribution involves shaping and cultivating an organization's culture. As a HR professional, bringing authenticity and honesty to conversations is critical. HR should guide the critical thinking around effective employee interactions (how we learn, think, and laugh) in order to foster collaborative teams which are key to our ever changing world.
