I find joy in telling stories and advocating for positive change. As a student at Fairfield University, I fuel my intellectual curiosity through my studies within the Department of Communication. My coursework has honed my ability to analyze messages and express my beliefs in varied contexts. Moreover, I have developed skills that allow me to think critically about verbal and nonverbal messages of issues impacting our society. My work as an editor for the student newspaper, The Mirror, has enabled me to engage with the larger community and use my platform to promote social justice. I find inspiration in my interactions with individuals of diverse backgrounds and feel privileged to amplify their voices through the written text of our weekly publication. I am also fortunate to have served as a New Student Leader, where I applied my interpersonal skills and deep emotional intelligence as a facilitator for a class of first-year students. In collaboration with a faculty member from the institution, I led conversations that explored defining aspects of the transition to college. It is an honor to mentor my students, as I can support and witness their growth throughout the semester. I am committed to creating meaningful dialogue.
