From my first job at a hamburger stand, where I mastered customer service, to family therapy, where I developed a systems-focused mindset, honed my conference planning skills, and even created clinical newsletters, every experience has added a new layer. A short time as a programmer further fueled my passion for problem-solving and gave me a comfort with technology that’s now essential to my work.Being successful at my job means being a top-notch manager of information and data. Huge amounts of information come my way daily, and likewise a nonstop stream of tasks. How have I become a pro at juggling all the competing demands? By constantly finding ways to use technology to my advantage. I use task management systems and software collaboration features to record and prioritize tasks, manage time, follow up, note important details, and track files. Keeping current is key, so recently I've been watching AI tutorials and finding ways it can save me time. I am not just about numbers. I like people too! I find people fascinating and I learn from those around me every day, whether it be a work skill or life wisdom. I try to appreciate people for whatever their strengths may be. Likewise, I try to share things I have learned, with others.In my spare time, I can quickly become obsessed with a jigsaw puzzle, spend all morning reading the paper, or forcing myself to exercise.
