CurrentManage SLPs and evaluate/treat children and adults with communication disorders and delays, neurological deficits, and voice disorders with special interest in young children with global developmental delay, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, feeding disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.• Collaborate with pediatricians, otolaryngologists, audiologists, educators and early intervention providers, optimizing treatment and clinical outcomes.• Educate patients and families during therapy sessions, identifying community resources and tailoring carryover techniques to expedite clinical progress.• Offer clinical support to speech/language pathology colleagues and liaise between staff and leadership, identifying and organizing topics, special projects, case studies, organizational updates, and guest speakers for staff meetings. • Present clinical information and resources regarding speech/language pathology services to new pediatricians and clinicians during the New Hire Orientation.• Manage department budget, sharing utilization numbers with SLP staff, ensuring appropriate assessment tools, treatment materials, and training resources are available to staff. • Provided speech/language expertise and input regarding diagnosis and treatment plan directly to developmental pediatrician and parents as part of the Developmental Consultation Service, a pediatric multidisciplinary diagnostic team of SLP, MD, psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, and physical therapist offering diagnosis, treatment, and home carryover programs.• Mentored clinical fellows for speech/language pathology to evaluate and treat pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient setting.• Crafted a developmental checklist to facilitate referrals for speech/language evaluation to occur at a younger age. Educated pediatric staff to administer the checklist at the 18 month old well visit, resulting in earlier referrals and better developmental outcomes.
