-Observe, coach, and lead trainings for AmeriCorps members serving in Boston Public School classrooms (grades 3-10), focusing on math and literacy tutoring, use of data, lesson planning, student engagement, teacher partnerships, student relationships, and culturally responsive practices-Create and facilitate staff trainings on observation and coaching; support City Year staff development through co-observations and co-coaching sessions-Collaboratively design and refine City Year Boston’s approach, resources and trainings related to data-informed instruction, as CYB’s Student Improvement Monitoring Specialist -Support AmeriCorps members and City Year staff with collecting, analyzing, responding to student-level data-Analyze and report out on observation and coaching data to identify trends and share best practices

Pilot program leveraging AmeriCorps tutors and small group instruction for students.-Professionally developed, observed and coached, and managed 25 AmeriCorps tutors serving in 5th grade classes-Served as lead teacher for 5th grade ELA and Humanities classes; created daily lessons and assessments-Analyzed assessment data and led tutors in data analysis to inform instruction-Led students to average 0.8 years’ reading growth within first 3 months of school

-Created year-long vision and goals for 7th grade instruction, systems, and culture with Principal-Led weekly meetings with 7th grade teachers to monitor student progress, instruction and culture -Served as communications liaison between Principal and grade level team

-Planned professional development and led monthly department meetings for 19 teachers (e.g. collaborative review of assessments, curriculum, student work samples; best practice sharing; creation of vertically-aligned rubrics) -Advised teachers on content and instructional alignment to Common Core standards
