Partnered with local women’s business organizations such as the Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and the Professional Business Women of California. Won the NAWBO National membership growth award in 2013.

As CEO of an industrial uniform service founded in 1949, provided services to over 1500 customers throughout Southern California. Directed a 50-person staff, produced strategic plans, monitored P&L and customer satisfaction. Presided over business development, regulatory compliance, production and facilities, organizational development, and human resources/labor relations. Implemented significant process improvements throughout the entire organization, reversed negative revenue and profitability trends, diversified the customer base, and established strong relations with the business community and regulatory/legislative bodies. In 2007, company was successfully sold to the largest national competitor in the industry.Piloted the Environmental Protections Agency’s 1995 innovative environmental management system incorporating international standards for environmental stewardship. Achieved a 15% reduction in resource consumption with zero reductions to product quality or service. Recipient of the 2000 Small Industry, Plant of the Year Award from the California Water Environmental Association.

-Directed a continuum-of-care facility, offering assisted living, permanent housing, hospice and case management, for medically indigent persons living with HIV/AIDS, women and children and LGBT persons in Los Angeles County.-Managed a $1.5 million budget, directed a full-time, 35-person staff responsible for programming, advocacy, fundraising, and outreach initiatives; collaborated with Board of Directors in strategic planning, policy and program development.

-Provided operational administration, fund raising, and managed 15 healthcare workers in AIDS case management program. Coordinated staffing, supervision of 10 social workers and patient assessment. Participated in quality assurance, the Women’s Council, and the child abuse action team. Administered the MSW Internship Program.-Speaker and instructor to local high school pregnancy program, focusing on the impact of drug and alcohol use on pregnancy and awareness and prevention of teen dating violence.

-Provided clinical consultation, including assessments and development of the psycho-social component of state-regulated protocols for maternal-child health services. -Supervised social work professionals providing services to teens/young mothers and delivered educational presentations to the school districts pregnant minors class
