About Kathleen Thurmond
I am an accomplished executive and nonprofit board member with over 20 years of management experience. I've long demonstrated an ability to build strong partnerships and drive successful programs among diverse communities and stakeholders. For over the past decade I've held executive positions up to the CEO level, creating profitable and award-winning organizations.During my career, I became deeply passionate about the issues of equality and choice, and ensuring women have access to all aspects of Reproductive Health. We are caught in an outdated paradigm - over 1000 laws have passed limiting a woman's right to choose since Roe vs. Wade in 1973. I bring a unique combination of business, policy and non-profit experience to this challenge. We've been in a defensive posture for too long. Although we need to continue to defend our rights, I want to change the current defensive paradigm and develop a more inclusive perspective where the conversation shifts from "women's rights to women's rights are human rights" and ensure equal access to health care.Currently, I am open to both full-time and consulting positions. Please contact me at kathleen.thurmond@gmail.com and I will get back to you quickly.
