Let's create a world where what we consume does less harm.I have devoted my career to making, selling, and advocating for good food and the joy of sharing it with others. In various roles from retail management, food business consulting, my own organic baked goods company, real estate development, hospitality, and even sustainable aquaculture, I have shown that I not only have a passion for high quality, natural & organic, and innovative products, but also the people growing, making, serving and selling food, wellness, and beauty products in a way that is good for the earth, body, and soul. My education in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management served as a base for my work in the business of selling good food. Much of my early career was spent with Whole Foods Market, where I successfully held seven leadership positions in various markets. Over the 11+ years there, I gained firsthand experience of the importance of food as a means of changing our world and communities for the better. I developed a deep understanding of operations and training, the importance of leading and developing people in a positive environment, and consistently delivering high quality service and products. As I advanced, I had the opportunity to engage with the community more, develop products and offerings tailored to specific markets, and deliver results driven marketing and merchandising. After earning a M.S. in Entrepreneurship, I leveraged my experience and education to start my own businesses. This provided a first-hand look at the challenges facing startups and sharpened my existing marketing and financial skills. I've held an executive level operations position for a real estate development firm, helping to design and open a local food market, guiding small businesses through the process. I also directed marketing and sales for an oyster farm and restaurant group focused on sustainable seafood, leading retail and direct to consumer online sales. My current role shifted me from sustainable food to the beauty industry where I lead marketing and events for the largest national sales agency for clean beauty brands. Since 2016, I have used the years in hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit to host guests in my home(s) via Airbnb, a personal source of pride and much joy to myself and guests. My superpower is remembering your favorite foods and making sure I have delicious snacks to share almost all the time. And while my career has been spent in the business of selling good food, my heart is happiest when I’m making it for the people I love.
