    Due to the growth of the corporate social media program I created and managed since 2005, I was named the organizations' first corporate social media manager. My focus is now managing this program and guiding the strategy, growth, communications and training on these platforms. Duties include managing the online brand reputation, curating relevant content for all platforms and working with leadership, staff from all departments and agency of record to create content calendars to align with organizational communications goals, and assist with writing and editing for other projects as needed. I offer education to communications teams and organizational leadership about social media development and management.I am an active member and contributor to the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media.In 2014. the hospital system was named one of the Top 75 Social Media Friendly Children's Hospitals by NurseJournal.org.In 2015, Shriners Hospitals for Children was included on the MD Connect list of 20 Hospitals Using Twitter to Attract, Engage and Retain PatientsIn 2016, Shriners Hospitals was recognized as one of the 10 Best Hospitals on Instagram by the Aha Media Group.In 2017, I was named to the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network External Advisory Board.In 2021 I was named a Mayo Clinic Social Media Network Platinum Fellow for contributions to the organization.

    I was the organizations' first web communications manager and brought in to manage the online brand and reputation for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children with initiatives that included 2 corporate websites, 22 hospital websites and event websites. I also created and directed and all official social media presences for the organizations, and managed content curation efforts to find relevant items of interest for our supporters, patients, employees, donors and fraternity members.I worked with a team to develop internal and external web sites, ensuring communications needs were met and goals were achieved. One of my first projects in the department was an overhaul of the content on the hospital and fraternity websites and advising on better site usability. I later managed a site redesign, working with 3rd party agencies and developers.I oversaw a variety of initiatives, including content development/editing for print, online and social media projects. I assigned stories to writers as needed, edited materials for AP/house style, grammar and brand standards, and optimized content utilizing SEO. I regularly contributed original news and feature items for print, online and social media communications.My duties also included training and developing educational presentations about public relations, social media, writing for the web, SEO, story development, and creating and managing multiple social media presences.
