For the past four years, I assumed the role of CEO with Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, quickly becoming a visibly passionate and engaged advocate for Cape Breton’s future growth and prosperity. Skilled in strategy development and implementation, corporate communications, organizational leadership and project management, I am a collaborative, self-directed and disciplined executor of projects and initiatives across a broad scope of disciplines. During my time at the Chamber, I implemented strategies that led to substantial organizational growth and resurgence within the region and supported the local business community by being a strong advocate, actively encouraging collaboration and cultivating positivity. Presently, I am the Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development with Novaporte- a transformational development that will build the most strategic transportation, energy and logistics hub on the east coast of North America and launch one of the largest economic development opportunities Cape Breton Island has ever seen. My commitment to the revitalization of Cape Breton is unquestionable and my hunger for prosperity and growth of the community is evident. In my spare time, I am a spin instructor at the YMCA, I love to cook and enjoy all things food, wine, music and travel, I am an avid reader and lifelong learner.
