Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System on site, which is compatible with legislative and industry requirements. Responsibilities include: HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and GMP systems on site.Supplier Approval System.Lead on all internal, external and customer audits.Conducting Management review meetings.Completion of all site and customer product specifications.Implementation and verification of product traceability on site.Communication with all customers and suppliers on technical matters.Routine reviews and updating of all QA related documentation.Label and artwork approval.Management of pest control systemManagement of external testing risk assessment and schedule.Internal and external calibration of all equipment on site.Ensuring site is up to date with any upcoming changes in legislative or industry requirements.

Perform physical and chemical analytical tests according to ISO 17025 and SOP's in an efficient and organised manner.Generate data and interpret results for each analysis performed.Carry out environmental monitoring on site.Perform investigations where required for deviations and out-of-specification results.Communication with customers and management regarding reports/results.Keeping up to date with SOP's and other quality related documentation.Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.Perform sample management activities.Perform other duties designated by the laboratory manager.
