In my seventies—my party decade—I’m gonna sit on the front porch of my desert ranch home, play my accordion, and drink gin all afternoon. Working backward from my thirty-year goal...Now is the time to combine my loves of organization, teamwork, and creativity into a position where I can bring my game to a growing company in whose work I completely believe. Taking my customer service and admin chops out into the world to be a freelance creative assistant for five years, I had the time of my life working with authors, artists, photographers, and musicians. I co-wrote books, helped expand a small leather goods shop, drove three dogs 900 miles cross-country (many times!), production assisted in music videos, fell head over heels for desert landscapes, and found out how much I could really love life.When I was ready to stay put in Austin for a couple years, I took a position with my favorite team of people at Whole Earth Provision Company (reveling for a time in a secret passion: warehouse work) and, just for funsies, earned a certification in fashion design from Austin Community College. Now, I’m stoked to join a team that’s expanding and shakin’, where I can steadily move on up, making a bigger, better impact on the community and on the world than I could make on my own. I love building connections and relationships, keeping track of everything, adapting and flexing, the ebb and flow of project-time, and being open to travel. I’ve got big plans for my party decade, and I intend to set myself up for it right—that desert ranch ain’t gonna buy itself! Gotta get my vintage music recording studio set up on the property then, too, and find a sweet little pet donkey to ride off into the blazing, beautiful sunset…
