From my earliest experiences on construction sites during internships in building trades like masonry and carpentry, throughout architecture studies to professional work as an Architectural Designer, I am working on numerous projects in various fields and scales: Public and private, educational, commercial, residential health care and sacred buildings.The buildings and their individual context, no matter if new construction, rich in history and detail or inconspicuous and typical for their time, all deserve our attention as part of our environment.The opportunity to reactivate outdated facilities or to create new inspiring spaces while preserving existing statements of past convictions and standards of craftsmanship to make their spirit accessible again today – for me – this opportunity is what architecture and building in existing structures is about.
