Kathrin Ohle, twig energy’s Founder and Principal, has more than 30 years of experience in lending, investing, and relationship management.Prior to founding her own business, Kathrin spent 20 years in the corporate world, as a corporate banker with Deutsche Bank and TD Securities, as a financial investor with the Business Development Bank of Canada, and as a strategic investor with Emera. During her professional career, she closed bank debt and (quasi) equity transactions of over $5.5 billion with corporate clients of various sizes and industries. Among her favourite transactions she closed are i) venture capital investments of CAD 17 million in an Irish tidal technology developer, and ii) syndication and securitization of CAD 110 million for a Dutch company involved in building and operating the Confederation Bridge between P.E.I. and New Brunswick. Not to mention all the amazing solar and energy efficiency projects she helped finance in her role as Chief Investment Officer at CoPower Inc., an innovative fintech company.Businesses and technologies that reduce the carbon footprint have been her passion since 2007.Since 2017, she has also provided her services to personal transformational seminar businesses that help people experience more love, peace and joy in their lives.People, planet and profits are truly her motivating factors, as are her heart, soul and spirit.As a service to the financing industry, she wrote and published The Decision-Maker’s Guide to Long-Term Financing, a comprehensive and practical book to help businesses secure the most beneficial terms and conditions for their long-term financing transactions.
