I am a passionate and detail oriented behavior consultant with 3+ years of experience in coaching K-8 teachers in classroom and behavior management as well as a background in teaching students with disorders and disabilities in general and special education classrooms. My interests and goals lie in assisting districts and schools in developing social, emotional and behavioral systems of support across all tiers as well as helping teachers develop and hone their classroom and behavior management skills. Some of my achievement outside of my work experience are listed below. A school psychologist colleague and I presented at the National Association of School Psychologists annual convention in 2023. This involved meeting with her regularly to support her in any and all challenges she encountered as a brand new special education teacher.

This involves guiding schools through the Tiered Fidelity Inventory to assess their implementation and then develop action step to improve implementation based on their score. Additionally I provide training on the different components of MTSS-B, and de-escalation. The needs of each school vary and require that I be knowledgeable and flexible in how I support these schools in making forward progress in their behavioral systems of support.

This involves working as a part of school teams to assess their level of implementation of MTSS-B systems and support them in developing action steps to move them forward. I provide training on a variety of topics including functions of behavior, de-escalation, trauma-informed practices, classroom management, different tier I and tier II interventions, and writing positive behavior intervention plans. This includes content creation, training delivery and follow up. Additionally I train and coach new teachers on classroom and behavior management. Lastly, I work with teachers to problem solve classroom or individual student needs. This involves conducting observations, collecting data and following up with the teacher to problem solve. -

I worked closely with parents and families to best support each student in reaching their full potential at school. Part of this involved collecting and analyzing data to make data driven decisions about academic and behavioral progress for each student.The school year prior to this position I worked in a different self-contained special education classroom in a different district for students with emotional/behavioral disorders.
