Strategic lead for Disability Employment for BCC, providing direction and leadership. This includes delivery of a front line service to over 400 disabled people each week over a number of locations. As a City and Guilds accredited provider centre providing education, vocational training in work skills such as catering, manufacturing and horticulture, qualifications such as skills for working life, support into work, maintaining employment and advocacy services. Working with volunteers and supporting people with multiple barriers, to successfully make the transition to positive economic activity.Effective management and control within various programmes of work in addition to large scale and complex projects such as Governments Total Place project, including influencing or negotiating with external stakeholders and partners to achieve agreed goals, targets and risk management. Diplomatic and resourceful. I am able to work under pressure, to conflicting demands and deliver within agreed timescales, analysing and resolving problems to achieve targets. I enjoy working with colleagues to achieve our aims.With a proven record of accomplishment in strong financial management, I have successfully developed income generating solutions such as social enterprise catering, whilst maintaining full profit and loss accountability for up to £3.5 million budgets each year. Bid writing for grants and winning funding such as Work Choice. I work within governance, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and have overseen commissioned programmes to ensure delivery against targets within tight timescales. BCC BEST Manager 2013.
