After one year at CBS19 News, I was promoted to weekday morning co-anchor for Good Morning Charlottesville. I helped launch 2.5 new hours of daily news shows, including a half-hour show at 4:30 a.m. and GMC on Fox Virginia, a two-hour show from 7-9 a.m. I also anchor our noon newscast on Fridays and as needed. I continue reporting, with a focus on politics and government, higher education, and feature reporting. Second Place Winner in Virginia Association of Broadcasters Awards for Outstanding News Series in a Small Market for a story on redistricting in Central Virginia. Runner up for Best Local TV Personality in the CVILLE Magazine Best of Cville Edition my first year on the anchor desk.

The Rockbridge Report is the only local news website supporting the Rockbridge County, Buena Vista, and Lexington, Virginia area. The broadcast is produced once per week completely by Washington and Lee University students. While the station is run by W&L students, much of the news revolves around happenings off the W&L campus. The live election night broadcast I produced was nominated for a Mark of Excellence Award through the Society of Professional Journalists in 2018.

Selected as the only Virginia Association of Broadcasters intern at WTVR, working five days a week in market #55, Richmond-Petersburg. I shadowed reporters, performed interviews, helped photographers shoot video, assisted MMJs during the editing process, and wrote for the web. One web story was the fifth most viewed story for the month of June for the entire WTVR website. Earned 17 bylines on WTVR.com.
