Kathryn Eckert focuses her practice on energy and public utilities law with an emphasis on regulatory and permitting compliance. She has practiced before the Kentucky Public Service Commission, the Kentucky State Board on Electric Generation and Transmission Siting, and the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet. Kathryn also has an extensive background in general litigation and represents clients with complex legal issues in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. When Kathryn began her career, her practice focused on the defense of hospitals and healthcare providers in medical negligence claims as well as general insurance defense, governmental liability defense, professional liability defense, premises liability, employment law, and nursing home defense. This strong background in both regulatory law and litigation enables her to craft effective solutions for her clients. Kathryn is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the U.S. Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the Fayette County Bar Association and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.
