They say when life throws you lemons, you should make lemonade. So when redundancy came my way as a result of Covid-19 in 2020, I decided to do just that and put my skills and experience to good use by founding my own aviation business. ✦ What is AeroAssess?In 2020, I founded Aero Assess, an Aviation Consultancy business that supports and develops aviation talent through advice and coaching services. ✈️✦ Previous employment I was employed as Head of Flight Operations Recruitment/Pilot Selection👨✈️at one of the world’s leading airlines; successfully achieved unprecedented demand for recruiting experienced, wide body, commercial pilots into the airline. Twelve years aviation experience matched with 20 years recruitment experience, consistently delivering results beyond expectation. ✦ My Achievements🏆:➡️During a period of global pilot shortage in 2019, achieved an increase of 125% from the previous year in the number of selected pilots. ➡️Led the Emirates Pilot Selection team to deliver over 800+ experienced, wide body commercial pilots into the business across a two-year period. ➡️Previously led a team of 14 Performance Managers responsible for a remote workforce of 13,000. ➡️Responsible for departmental budgets of up to $2.3 million USD➡️Successful in a highly competitive selection process to participate in the Emirates Executive Leadership Development Programme. Was one of only two participants to graduate with Distinction. Also awarded ‘Best Project – How to leverage Social Media to generate revenue’.
