With Children's Home Society, a non-profit organization serving children and families in the foster care system, I was an advocate and resource for the safety of children.Responsibilities include:-Identified and assessed the individual and family needs of abused and/or neglected minors placed in care by the Department of Children and Families with the ultimate goal of permanency. -Consistently held a caseload of 25-30 families, comprising of 30-40 children.-Advocated for the safety of children by working closely to legal parties and testifying in court. -Completed referrals for adults and children in compliance with court-ordered case plans. -Conducted weekly and monthly home visits, supervised family and sibling visitations, and transported children to visits and appointments. -Responsible for active evaluation of child safety and completing legal documentation and reports. -Facilitated stable placement and provided support to children, caregivers, and family members as well as assisted with the removal of children from unsafe homes.

With Peace River Center, a non-profit mental health facility, I served communities in need through assessing and evaluating clients' needs and providing resources to connect them to services.Responsibilities include:-Served children and adults who have a severe persistent mental health diagnosis. -Connected clients to internal programs and community resources including disability benefits. -Conducted the National Outcomes Measures assessment and several other mental health screenings. -Completed home and community visits and provided follow-up and reminder calls. -Consistently held a caseload of 40-60 clients, which was the highest amongst the team. -Became experienced in communicating effectively with providers, therapists and client families.

Responsibilities include:-Tutored second grade through twelfth grade math and reading and ACT/ SAT prep course. Assisted with homework help and prioritized building rapport with students. Tutored two to three students at a time, each varying in grade level and subject.-Learned how to actively track a child’s academic progression and adjust learning plans accordingly.-Worked with a variety of children from different cultural backgrounds.

With Anchor House, a group home for boys, I was a part of a team that facilitated a positive and flourishing environment for teenage boys to learn and thrive in.Responsibilities included:-Mentored and tutored boys aged eight through seventeen. -Responsible for cultivating a positive environment and assisted with activities of daily living.-Taught social skills and problem-solving skills. -Tutored grades third through twelfth in all subjects and coordinated summer activities.
