My career at Accenture addresses the boldest challenges facing the world today. I lead Natural Resources Industry Consulting in North America, spanning Mining, Metals, Forest Products, and Building Materials – diverse industries all with a vital role in a sustainable and net-zero future.I pride myself in orchestrating all parts of Accenture to activate the best ideas and solutions for our clients. I own the Global P&L and lead a team of 350+ spread across 8 countries for one of Accenture’s key client relationships. I am Executive Sponsor for our manufacturing and supply chain services for Chemicals & Natural Resources in North America. Additionally, I have sponsored initiatives with the World Economic Forum, including COVID-19 Action Group for Mining & Metals, and MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative. In 2023, I assumed a Coaching role for Accenture’s Leadership Development Program which each year brings together the top 2% of future, global leaders at Accenture.Passion for the environment and innovation is the heart of my career path. Developing point-of-care testing technologies in an R&D lab for early disease detection in the developing world awakened me to the impact of innovation. From there I stepped into tech incubation and venture capital to help a broad range of start-up/growth stage companies define commercialization strategies and access investment. Recently I reconnected with my start-up roots, taking on leadership of a water-tech start-up investment for Accenture Ventures. With water security being a basic human need, crucial to economic stability, I feel privileged to lead this partnership.Sparked by a high school trip to Papua New Guinea I feed my thirst for adventure and deep sense of curiosity by creating new challenges as a way of life, immersing myself in 60+countries by bicycle, foot and sea including cycling through North East Africa, coastline of West Africa, the Silk Route, Orient Express trail in Eastern Europe, the Mongolian Steppe, Vietnam, and Canada. In addition to my yearly Colorado hike of 14,000ft I have traversed Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Ri & Cho La Pass, Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, Kalalau Trail in Hawaii, and kayaked the Coral Sea, the remote coastline of Papua New Guinea and the Whitsunday Islands. Living in a Gobi Desert yurt is also a highlight.I believe experiencing culture and geography through the immediacy of adventure is both exhilarating and expansive, informing my leadership and my ability to integrate disparate client needs and initiatives with meaning and purpose through a global lens.
