I recently earned my PhD in Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences from Marquette University. My training is in the field of clinical exercise physiology. My clinical interests include exercise oncology and rehabilitation for neuromuscular conditions. My dissertation work investigated immune and muscle cell bioenergetics to understand how the immune system effects muscular function and clinical and functional features of people with Multiple Sclerosis. My ultimate goal is to establish exercise-based rehabilitative services as standard of care in the medical field. My research interests include implementation of exercise-based rehabilitation programming for chronically diseased populations and exercise-immunology. Career ambitions include, but not limited to, implementation science, cost-effectiveness research, and advocacy.
