Kathryn “Kitty” Pecko was a Judge of Compensation Claims for over 17 years. She presided over hundreds of cases in the Miami District office and later in the Fort Lauderdale District office. More than 90% of Judge Pecko’s orders were affirmed on appeal. She is certified by the Supreme Court as a Circuit Court and Appellate Mediator.Prior to her judicial tenure, Kathryn was appellate counsel in both State and Federal courts, handling cases covering a broad spectrum of substantive law. She served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Miami for 8 years. As a Board Certified Appellate attorney, Kathryn was counsel in more than 100 appellate opinions, not including PCAs, Circuit Court appellate opinions, and non-published Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal opinions.
