I am an agile servant leader with experience in team leadership in both traditional and agile contexts. I have worked with teams to enhance customer satisfaction, increase productivity and increase profitable revenue through understanding the purpose of the work and collaboration with customers. I believe that every team, no matter how good, can be even better. Through building a foundation of trust and empowering the team to understand the value of what they are building, amazing results will be achieved. In April of 2016 I passed the PMI- Agile Certified Practitioner exam which involved significant education related to several other Agile frameworks including Lean and Kanban. I am continually involved in advancing my professional skills and am currently taking a course to qualify as a Certified Scrum Professional. I became an Advanced Certified Scrum Master in 2018. I traveled to Athens, Greece to volunteer as an Agile Subject Matter Expert for Project Management Institute. I’ve attended the Agile Games conference twice where I found inspiration and many new ideas to use in improving team and organizational processes. I am currently an Instructor at University of Southern Maine teaching 1 day classes in the Agile Certificate program. It has been a pleasure to work with interested and engaged learners. I enjoy the challenge of planning and delivering interactive workshops. I have received positive feedback for including activities such as the penny game, pizza game, story mapping the tasks involved in getting ready for the work day, and Kahoot quizzes. I am a big fan of Sharon Bowman's training from the back of the room. I love to bring creativity to team events, and help people look at common problems thru new lenses. I consider resourcefulness and curiosity to be two of my favorite assets - in myself and in colleagues who share these traits. My favorite Agile saying is "Stop Starting and Start Finishing".
