•Responsible for the day-to-day running of the NHS Lothian contingent of a national Pragmatic Randomized controlled trial of a trauma- focused guided self-help Programme versus Individual trauma-focused CBT for PTSD.•Responsible for participant recruitment to target, and assessing eligibility for the trial, taking informed consent and managing the recruitment of participants to target, auditing and maintaining the site file, information management, data gathering and analysis and the maintenance of a large recruitment database and participant data set.•I administer a variety of assessments including structured interviews and standardized measures which assess baseline PTSD symptoms and re assess patients following treatment. I liaise with a national multi-disciplinary research cohort including colleagues in community mental health, psychiatry, psychological therapies and academia.

Research Assistant: Children's Service• In my role as a research assistant within Stirling's Children's Service, with the Early Years and Early Intervention Team there is a significant focus on improving outcomes for children and young people through early intervention and prevention. • I work closely with the Team Lead, the project manager from the Children and Young People's Collaborative and as part of a multidisciplinary team, which encompasses educational psychology, CAMHS, social workers, educational establishments • I deliver on projects that promote the research and development function within the Children's Service. As such, I am responsible for collecting and collating data through an appropriate range of means; carrying out research activities based on key priorities; writing up, reporting and presenting to a wide ranging audience on research findings. • I play a key role in the ongoing development and progress of the Children's Service in Stirling in relation to raising attainment and closing the poverty related attainment gap.

As a support worker in a residential homeless unit for women. I assess the needs of clients using the homelessness outcome star, and draw up person centred support plans to suit the individual needs of each service user. I carry out group work on a daily basis with the women in the project as well as supporting their daily living. This includes supporting residents with self-care, daily living, advocacy and liaising with other agencies as well as supporting their behavioural and emotional needs . My responsibilities encompass encouraging residents to make and retain links with the community and to take advantage of relevant local facilitate as well as administering and recording medication. Furthermore my administrative duties include: recording support hours, creating daily support plans and incident reports when required. This role has improved my communication skills in difficult, sensitive and often volatile situations as well as my inter agency communication.
