At NPC my daily job included communicating with both clients and doctors. I was responsible for initial notes with clients, using Avimark correctly, preparing medications, interpreting slides from cultures, and monitoring in surgery. In addition to this, I worked alongside a density board-certified veterinarian where I assisted various procedures from simple extractions to animal braces. This position has taught me so much about the industry, but most importantly I feel that I have learned how to work under pressure.

In this position, I was mainly responsible for assisting residents and potential residents at all times. This included answering phone calls, emails, and in-person questions. Another important aspect of my job is to give tours of our building to prospective residents. This position required me to further develop my customer service skills and gave me a taste of the business world.

As a kennel assistant, it was my responsibility to provide basic care and cleanliness at the facility. My daily duties included cleaning runs, providing fresh food and water to each animal, administering medications, and also communicating with clients on the phone and in person. My biggest takeaway from this job experience includes the ability to clearly communicate with others for the sake of an animal's well-being.
