As project support to the Finance Excellence Project Management Office (PMO), I supported the finance function through Finance Excellence. This role assisted the project management team in defining, implementing and operating the transformation programme, and to oversee and report on the work stream’s progress in relation to resources, dependencies, progress, costs and funding.I provided administration support to the Project team, and coordinated PMO office management, including visual management tracking of project plans. I was responsible for PMO scheduling and coordination of function wide events, governance meetings and internal PMO reviews.I was responsible for maintaining our OGSM strategies and tracking our financial progress and milestone adherence on the webtool. I also created and maintained the Finance Excellence SharePoint and Intranet sites. I also provided project support in documentation, reporting, data management and tracking, as well as project support to communications and engagement activities and processes across the function. Also part of my role was project support to key work streams as appropriate.

Within this role, I was responsible for high level reporting, including the transposition of information into different data sets and discussion and analysis. Other tasks include the creation of Process Flow's and RACI's for work processes; work on Health and Safety, including a project on mental health; creation of a3 thinking documents for ongoing projects; involvement in communications in CS; will be involved in the creation and maintenance of the CS intranet site.

I was seconded to our commercial performance manager to assist with system and procedural reviews within the commercial business. These included high level projects such as a review of the rebates system, and the creation and introduction of a Commercial SharePoint site.

As part of the graduate programme, I have completed placements in several different areas of the business:Marketing: August 2008 - Jan 2009. Whilst in the marketing department my main role was to create a marketing plan for our 100-year celebrations of manufacturing structural hollow sections at our Corby plant, and to create and maintain an archiving system for the marketing department. Energy Department, Project Coordinator: Jan 2009 - May 2009. My role as a project co-ordinator involved working closely with project managers in order to deliver bids and pre-qualifications for large-scale oil and gas pipeline projects. Export Sales Team, Sales Coordinator: May 2009 - September 2010. Delivering quotations for export customers for structural and conveyance products, being responsible for the inputting and management of orders, and delivering the material to our customers. Precision and Contiflo Business, Oosterhout, NL: Sept 2010 - March 2011. My primary role whilst in Oosterhout was to complete a review of how we operate our stockholder business in the UK and Ireland, and to make recommendations as to how this business should be dealt with in the future. This involved developing a thorough understanding of our products, markets, competitors, our SOP's, and our customer requirements.
