Senior Investigator- Crimes Against Children Division

• Promoted into senior role with management functions and bigger caseloads after only one year within the Crimes Against Women and Children Division of Fulton County. • Responsible for all aspects of criminal investigation and litigation support – from victim identification through testimonies and closure – focused on all types of crimes against children within a large Atlanta jurisdiction. • Effectively prioritize and execute caseloads across 3 courtrooms: typically supporting 60+ cases simultaneously while focused on resolutions for 2-3 of the most visible. • Directly manage a team of 3 junior investigators, mentoring and delegating relevant tasks while allowing each opportunity for professional autonomy and growth. Involved in all performance reviews and evaluations.• Consistent cold calling to uncover whereabouts of key individuals for testimony; researching record accuracy and working through family members or friends ultimately to positively identify the right person(s). • Compose and distribute subpoenas and search warrants for related persons within each case; deploy creative measures to ensure parties report to court and testify, often dealing with fearful or compromised, unwilling individuals.• Apprehend warranted individuals who resist arrest or evade outreach attempts. • Collaborate with judges and DA, offering support for the entirety of due process and sharing investigative findings, often aiding in forensic interviews for victims and witnesses. • Testify during court proceedings regarding investigative findings and how they indict the defendants, typically addressing audiences between 5-200 people and delivering sensitive, often graphic information. • Focus all investigative efforts toward getting justice for victims and appropriate sentences for transgressors, ensuring cases are well-qualified and evidence accurate.
