I am a Human Resources professional dedicated to the success of organizations through the utilization of human capital. I am a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association and use this membership to stay current on matters related to HR legislation and best practices. I am an MBA graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University. Some of my favourite courses included: Negotiation & Conflict Management, Organizational Consulting, Communication in a Managerial Context and Legal Environment for Managers. My goal with obtaining this degree is to fully round out my business acumen to provide an organization with key skills and knowledge pertaining to multiple business areas. Prior to starting graduate studies, I also completed a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from Georgian College which provided me with detailed information related to all areas of HR including Labour Relations, Employment Law, Training & Development and more. This program provided me with the tools necessary to obtain my CHRL designation which I plan to actively pursue.My work experience covers all areas of HR. I started my career in recruitment which has provided me with skills in sourcing talent in many different industries. In my current role, I have had the opportunity to learn Labour Relations and work closely with multiple unions to work through grievances, negotiations and to build strong relationships. I have had experience facilitating and creating training programs including creating and facilitating a performance appraisal training program for management staff.
