The charity lets its legacy properties and distributes income to the Hackney Parochial Charities. The Estate Management and Development Committee is responsible for developing and implementing the portfolio strategy, close liaison with contracted professionals and overseeing of renovations.

Sustainable Hackney aims to protect and enhance the environment, create a sustainable community and contribute to social, economic and environmental justice locally and globally.

Management and distribution of funds for the relief of poverty and benefit of residents of West Hackney. Represent WHPC on the Joint Estates Board. Member of the Development Committee overseeing development/refurbishment of the parochial charities' property.

Hackney's Community Empowerment Network (CEN) is a group of representatives and community networks from Hackney’s thriving voluntary and community sector or VCS. Together they support the sector to take part in decision making and shaping local services and policy.

Immediate Theatre works with young people in Hackney and East London to ensure access for all to arts activities that breaks down barriers and engages people in debate. We work in partnership to develop work that is:•Inclusive - working at the grass roots and celebrating diversity.•Interactive - involving communities throughout the creative process.•Imaginative - finding new ways to engage with vital issues.We believe in the transformative power of theatre and the arts to all our lives and the importance of giving people a voice. Creating a real relationship with the communities in which we work is at the heart of what we do. Our work is particularly developed with and for marginalised young people.

One of four Board members selected to represent the environmental sector in Hackney accountable to the Hackney Environment Network.

Responsibilities included working with Senior Management Teams to ensure delivery of capital and service programmes and projects and performance improvements. Establishment of Directorate systems. Management of a team delivering performance monitoring, reporting and auditing, the Equalities Scheme, customer care and user focus and communications.

Responsibilities included development of a corporate Environmental Management System and Environmental Programme. Key achievements include:* Establishing agreed corporate structures, procedures and standards that facilitated key services’ accreditation to EMAS/ISO 14001. * Developed and produced the Council’s first Environmental Report, incorporating an new environmental programme and climate change strategy following work with the Executive Member for Environment.

Responsibilities included the development and delivery of Hackney’s Agenda 21, through intense stakeholder engagement. Key achievements included:* Successful involvement of a wide range of stakeholders including about 100 volunteers.* Development and publication of Hackney’s Agenda 21 (Sustainability Strategy) and development of plans for implementation.
