The Ricoh Arena is a Sport, Business and Entertainment Venue located in the West Midlands. For my placement I have been lucky enough to gain a lot of Job rotation within the business learning about the running of the venue from many perspectives. The Ricoh is a unique venue in which three companies (Wasps, ACL and Compass group) work together to provide the best experience for our guests, wether it be a conference, concert or match day. I have been fortunate enough to experienced working for all three companies during my placement. Working with the ACL Sales team, Wasps Community Department, The Compass operations department, working with both hospitality and retail teams, Compass HR, IEC AND Compass accounts department, with the marketing team for both the arena and Wasps getting to understand all sides of the department, I also spent a brief spell in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel the arena have onsite. Before spending a final three months in the hospitality department, where I got the opportunity to run a VIP room for the Robbie Williams concert.
