Provide market research, sales and marketing support to the Sales Managers and organise and facilitate the tendering process. Research new opportunities and activities via tender websites, news articles and social media. Complete vendor registrations, applications and pre-qualification documents for both clients and memberships with industry support groups.Facilitate tender documentation production and monitor the process; arrange kick off meetings, maintain quality (audited) standards are upheld, gather necessary information, liaise with relevant departments internally and assist in the writing of the bid. Duties included; Creating business for the hotel mainly focusing on building relationships with corporate clients, calling businesses in the area, visits to construction sites and industrial estates and arranging meetings with possible clients to discuss requirements and needs. Bringing new ideas to the table in terms of new target audiences and new ways to attract business. I also regularly updated social media sites such as Facebook and twitter with upcoming events or offers.Creating promotional material to use on social media and also to display around the hotel and hand out as flyers to local businesses.

Duties included; Taking bookings over the phone for accommodation and activities, dealing with general enquiries, up-selling and meeting targets, check in/check out, handling complaints, issues and problems, providing 5* guest service both over the phone and in person, working within a team, assistant at wedding fayre’s to promote the accommodation and end of day banking.

*Part-Time whilst studying for Degree.*After completing the 48 week work placement through University, i was offered a part-time position whilst i completed my final year of University. Duties included; Check in/Check out, Taking payments, Making Reservations, Making and receiving telephone calls, Dealing with problems/issues/complaints, Recognising guests needs, computer skills, Guest service, Liaising with other team members throughout hotel, General knowledge of hotel and surrounding area.

I have carried out a 48 week work placement for the 3rd year of my degree. During this period i worked in every department within the hotel gaining an insight into different job roles, shift patterns and specific skills required in each department.

Worked with a team of lifeguards to maintain safety, cleanliness and provide an enjoyable day out for guests.Worked on monitoring the slides & pool, cleaning, basic first aid and was required to carry out a few rescues.Also worked on reception whilst at the Sandcastle. Duties included; taking payments, cashing up the till, handling large amounts of money, taking group/party bookings and gift shop sales.
