The ability to take an intangible dream and create an epic reality requires skills in organization, project management, subcontract administration, emotional stability, and efficient time management mastery. have created 200 wedding dreams with budgets of up to $200,000, produced numerous festivals of over 5,000 attendees, and implemented successful corporate events for Fortune 500 companies. My philosophy of running an efficient and successful business is grounded in building relationships, understanding the market, and differentiating oneself in a mission statement.I have twice received national recognition as event planner of the year and won numerous awards for specific events I designed. I have published locally and nationally, spoken at national conferences, lectured at colleges, led marketing workshops, mentored college students, and directed apprenticeships. I have always tried to live with a servant’s heart, giving and donating to those in need. From the beginning of running a successful profitable company, the belief of aligning myself with a nonprofit organizations by offering my expertise has been a rewarding journey. I adopted the Guitars n Cars organization, benefiting the US Vets for over a decade, raising over 2M in funds. I am a strong supporter of the public school system, dedicated to the ideal that all children deserve the very best education. Over the past 15 years, I have offered my event planning expertise to various initiatives, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the academics, arts, and athletics to offset the increasing budget cuts in the school system. When Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017, I sparked a moment called the Recovery Houston Foundation, a non-profit organization that builds a relationship between volunteers to offer recovery assistance to homeowners affected by natural disasters.I led the organization to recruit 2,500 volunteers who cleared 250 homes from flood debris and rebuilt over 50 homes. I curated a workday for 600 corporate volunteers to assist Hilliard Elementary, transforming the damaged landscaping. I consider the effort of leading this organization to have been one of the most outstanding achievements in my career. Receiving the George H. Bush Points of Light Award, being selected as President Barack Obama’s Humanitarian of the Year, and meeting the five former United States Presidents was beyond imagination.I believe it is essential to give more than what is asked. Making a difference does not require solving a global problem but simply changing the world for one person at a time.
