Achieved rank: Corporal Shift Supervisor.Performed in the capacity of a Project Manager from February 2000–April 2001 for the New Jail Transition Team during the construction of a new jail facility in Ashland County. This role required directly working with the Ohio Department of Corrections, Bureau of Adult Detention for policy and procedure development and physical facility planning and approval.As Project Manager, duties included overseeing and completing all written policies and procedures incompliance within the State specifications, all staff training in compliance within the State specifications, timely scheduled construction progress inspections, working closely with Site Contruction Managers/ Contractors, assisting the Jail Administrator in monitoring budget issues and schedules, and hiring additional support staff to operate the larger facility.Awarded: Letter of Dedication, presented by Sheriff E. Wayne Risner, 2001.Awarded: Correction Officer of the Year in 2001, 1999, and 1998.
