As a graduate research assistant at The Mauricio Gastón Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy, I contribute to various projects that aim to advance the well-being of Latinx communities in Massachusetts and beyond. I use GIS and NVivo software to analyze data, create maps, and present findings on topics such as health, education, and immigration.Before joining UMass Boston, I graduated from Providence College with a BA in economics, Spanish, and political science. I gained valuable experience in research, account management, and foreign language studies. I interned for the Rhode Island General Assembly, where I conducted policy research and drafted reports. I also worked as an account specialist at Driving Impressions, where I managed client relationships and coordinated marketing campaigns. Additionally, I was a student assistant in the Office of Foreign Language Studies at Providence College, where I tutored students and organized events.Through my education and work experience, I have developed strong skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, communication, and problem-solving. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to address social and economic issues that affect diverse and marginalized communities. I aspire to pursue a career in public policy, research, or consulting that allows me to make a positive impact on society.
