The Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC) exists to advise parishes and others on church buildings and works to them, ranging from a major extension to the installation of a new light fitting, reordering the church interior or repairing the roof. This includes advice to the Chancellor on granting permissions through the faculty system.The DAC can offer expert advice to parishes on clocks, bells, organs, historic buildings, art, architecture, archaeology, furniture and plate.As well as being involved in the Faculty process, the DAC advises on proposals for the redundancy of churches and helps in the appointment of Quinquennial Inspectors.DAC Committee members have experience relating to various aspects of church buildings. Committee members include clergy, architects and furniture experts.

Kathryn is passionate about access, inclusion, and diversity. As an active member of the London and South East region of the Access Association Kathryn looks forward to the meetings with regular talks on relevant topics as well as to network with other access professionals. Being involved provides her with a platform to discuss issues, understand different points of view and share learning.

Born out of the merger between West Waddy and Archadia, WWA is a leader in the built environment; an innovative multidisciplinary practice creating outstanding people centric places that care for our heritage. As a part of a wider team, we are able to deliver a range of specialist skills across a wider geographical area to develop high quality built environment solutions. My role at WWA is Design Associate leading projects through RIBA stages 0-7. I have worked on projects ranging in size from domestic extensions to a large housing scheme, preparing planning applications, producing construction drawings and working in BIM. I am fully proficient in Revit software and is producing her latest projects in BIM. With particular expertise in inclusive design and access, I am currently working on several housing projects on garage sites for a local housing association, disabled facilities grants, as well as a large social housing projects in West London.I lead the Practice-based research programme, working closely with councils and universities and continue to broaden my knowledge and expertise in my specialist fields sitting on the board of WISH London (Women in Social Housing) and an active member of Housing LIN.

Kathryn has been a board member at WISH for three years and is now excited to take on the role as Co-Chair. Kathryn has been involved in education for over 5 years, she previously worked as a tutor at the University of Nottingham for the undergraduate course. She is actively involved with schools, taking part in numerous careers events and helps to run the work experience programme at Archadia. At WISH Kathryn aims to bring young people into social housing careers and promote construction industry occupations. She is passionate about motivating students at all stages of their careers.

Angus Meek was an invaluable experience allowing me to take on a role of responsibility as well as working as a part of a team. I was able to visit working sites, see projects through to completion and interact with clients.
