I'm old-fashioned. By that, I mean I like to start a job and then complete it successfully. I prefer to stick with one company and be promoted from within. I'm dedicated, I'm reliable, I'm loyal, I have ethics.I've seen my own resume. The last few years look like I'm hopping from one job to another. Living in a more rural area, it's hard to find a technical job. Especially one involving an older technology such as the mainframe. So I'm taking the opportunity to switch gears and do something more cutting edge. As such, I've enrolled in the University of Phoenix Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity.So I'm trying to find the right job, the right fit. Not just for me, but you "The Employer" as well. Along the way, I've learned a lot! I've learned there are several different types of salmon (living mostly in the landlocked midwest, who knew?), but unfortunately, the hours at Safeway didn't agree with me. Working as a vet assistant, I learned new computer programs, I learned how to calculate medications, I learned more about dogs and cats than I could imagine! But unfortunately, the vet and I didn't connect very well. At Home Instead, I've learned about communication and dealing with difficult people and situations. But unfortunately, it's emotionally tough. It's 24x7x365 of giving of yourself. I go home and my dogs help me recharge. And do it all over again the next day. I am now looking to begin my career in CyberSecurity. My friends - My clients - have passed on to their next adventure. Specialties and Skills: Mainframe programming (COBOL, PL/I, JCL), Microsoft products, communication. Dedicated and reliable. In the process of learning Cybersecurity.
