I have received two bachelor of arts degrees in Sociology and Justice Studies from Rhode Island College in 2009. Through my undergraduate studies I interned at a non-profit organization to help at risk juveniles with their schooling, probation, community, and family issues.I moved to San Diego in 2009 and worked as a Job Coach for another non-profit company. I worked hands on with developmentally disables adults at their place of employment to help demonstrate and emphasize appropriate vocational skills. I held this position for a year until I moved to Montana.I moved to Montana in 2010 where I started as a paraprofessional in a Montana school district. I worked in an early elementary school for a handful of months before I was asked to move to the middle school, in the same district, to work as a speech paraprofessional. I finished off the 2010-2011 school year in this position. In the 2011-2012 school year I started a new position, with a new company, that is contracted into the same middle school. I currently hold this position as a Mental Health Associate for AltaCare.I am currently enrolled in a master's program at Montana State University-Northern for Counselor Education. I will graduate with this degree in December 2013 in which I will pursue my School Counseling endorsement as well as accrue clinical hours to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I'm also pursuing an Addiction Counseling Licensure through Montana State University-Bozeman in which I hope to have the education and clinical hours needed for this license completed by the end of 2014.
