Kathryn is the strategic legal advisor to Dow’s largest business unit, Packaging & Specialty Plastics (“P&SP”). She sits on the business’s Global Leadership Team, providing legal and risk management guidance to experienced executive leadership. She counsels the business on a range of issues, including commercial matters, disputes, regulatory developments, unplanned events, substances of concern, and sustainability/circularity initiatives. Kathryn is passionate about Dow’s sustainability goals and is closely involved in advancing the circular economy, including a focus on developing external partnerships and managing M&A activity.Prior to joining P&SP, Kathryn was a seasoned litigator with more than ten years’ experience as in-house litigation counsel, appellate law clerk, plaintiff counsel, and defense counsel in a broad range of matters. Kathryn believes in the power of relationships and is confident that the best teams are diverse and inclusive. She was appointed a 2023 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, representing Dow throughout the year, and building relationships with a cohort of Fellows aligned to the same goal. She also serves on Dow’s Legal Inclusion Team and Provider Optimization Project, two additional initiatives intended to strengthen and diversify relationships. Outside of work, Kathryn serves as one half of the management team for two exceptionally fun little people. She is an avid gardener, a struggling runner, a road cyclist, a chef, and a third-generation army brat.
