The Grateful Giving Advisory Council is a group of business, nonprofit and societal leaders who strongly believe in the Grateful Giving mission and who, in collaboration with our Board of Directors, help to shape Grateful Giving's strategy and support our growth.

The mission of Bridge International is to empower and support all survivors of human trafficking by bridging the gaps between under-served communities, local services, and community awareness.

As the founder and executive director of a tuition-free 501(c)(3) public charter school, I userigorous and joyful instruction methods to prepare kindergarten through eighth-grade students forcollege.Leading a staff of 65, with more than 30% bilingual and +10% immigrant or refugee, we craft curricula and learning methods focused on inclusion, diversity, equity, and justice. Together, we captured theseonce-in-a-lifetime milestones:►Secured millions in funding from government grants and purchasable bonds, exceeding revenue goals, by targeting private foundations, individual donors, and state and federal agencies.►Earned thousands of incremental revenue by enrolling 580 students, exceeding goals for threeconsecutive years, and developing boots-on-the-ground marketing campaigns and communityinvolvement programs to overcome pandemic-induced educational declines.►Accumulated millions in a ColoTrust account, a notable achievement for a small non-profit, byensuring revenue via judicial fiscal management and conservative investments.►Generated a 483% growth spike by applying training and best-practice experience gainedthrough a Building Excellent Schools™ fellowship, visiting +50 schools, and fostering andmaintaining a relationship with the BES program.►Retained 80% of staff and added 60 new employees by swiftly responding to concerns andneeds, offering competitive compensation, attending job fairs, and designing training anddevelopment plans.Under my direction, the team earned a Colorado Department of Education “School of Excellence”award and a top five ranking in math scores and garnered recognition as a performance-centeredinstitution.With a five-year charter renewal, I am confident that the team will continue to succeed in servingthis diverse and marginalized community.

As founding team member, I headed the math department, taught a fifth-grade class, and served as an instructional leader at Uncommon Excellence Girls Middle Academy, a charter school in one of Brooklyn’s most impoverished communities. Supervising two employees, I implemented award-winning and rigorous curricula and drove these impressive outcomes:►Gained a 22% improvement in student comprehension of all subjects by uncovering learninggaps, adapting syllabi, integrating added instructional materials, and tracking resultantaccomplishments.►Fueled a 15% uptick in student performance by adopting pertinent leadership principles andmentoring staff to produce flawless execution of stringent curricula.►Attained the highest math scores on state exams by personally tutoring and coaching students.Inspired by our significant impact on boosting student performance in underprivilegedcommunities, I pursued a long-held dream of founding and directing a tuition-free public charterschool.

Taught mathematics, English as a Second Language (ESL), and English Language Arts for 6th grade. Served as small team leader to support teachers, staff communications, organizational alignment, and reporting functions. Collaborated on school leadership team to analyze and implement roadmaps for school district goals to meet school-wide benchmarks and district goals.► Twice-recognized with Teacher of the Year Awards.► Designed and implemented new strategies for hard-to-staff schools on task force for Teacher Effectiveness Project.

Acted as liaison between educational institution, teachers, and Teach for America organization to improve quality of instruction. Demonstrated value and impact of one-on-one educational support to enhance students’ ability to learn. Designed and deployed intensive agendas and monthly programming to help teachers diversify and grow instructional capabilities. Assessed performance gaps to implement solutions customized to learning needs. ► Selected to lead initiatives and communications for Coulwood Elementary School, serving as classroom model for best practices due to positive culture and high student testing results. ► Collaborated on various task forces in leadership roles, including Leadership Team Advisory Council, Transition Team, and Induction Committee; served as Learning Team Leader at summer institute to teach new TFA hires on lesson plan development and policies and procedures.
