As the public library consultant, I'm responsible for professional development and continuing education as well as strategic planning. I also help libraries with anything else they need. This includes:Creating library training sessions conducted person and via webinar for librarians in Ohio on a variety of topics including train-the-trainer sessions, databases, grant writing, digital literacy instruction and additional professional development topics Developing self-paced training sessions for librariansDeveloping outcome based evaluation metrics for trainings conducted by the State Library of Ohio and for libraries to use as sample metrics for their own trainingsAdvising and consulting with libraries, governmental agency employees and professional groups regarding library developmentWorks with libraries to create partnerships with other community agencies to enhance the goals of all agencies involvedCreating and presenting Strategic Planning workshops for public libraries throughout Ohio and works with libraries to develop and write strategic plans for their institutionsAttending the iLEAD U program through the Illinois State Library and working on the grant to bring the program to Ohio in 2013Answering questions from libraries in Ohio as neededWorking on the committee to plan, implement and evaluate Library Leadership Ohio 2012

Working for the Air Force, Air Combat Command to improve library services for all 15 base libraries under Air Combat Command. This includes evaluating, coordinating and marketing database purchases, centralizing some library services, and working with the library directors to determine their needs. We also coordinate database education and conduct online, telephone and in-person reference services for all members of Air Combat Command.
