Katie Watson is a seasoned healthcare attorney and an Adjunct Faculty at Georgetown University. Katie is General Counsel to Whitman-Walker Health and Health System in Washington DC. She has served as counsel to two safety-net hospitals, overseeing the compliance of operations and working to assure health care initiatives were successfully serving the community. Katie is skilled at leading clients through complex healthcare regulatory concerns to bold and actionable strategies. Katie is a graduate of Brown University and was a Public Interest Law Scholar at Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a community health outreach worker, focused on HIV/AIDS prevention and redressing health disparities. Katie attended Johns Hopkins’ Public Health program as a bio-ethics fellow. Her career centers around health care reforms that increase access.
