- Independently conducted research in ProQuest Historical Newspapers, including the New York Times, Chicago Defender, and New York Amsterdam News.- Focused on the impact of Jesse Jackson on the Democratic Party especially in 1984 and 1988, the voting rights debate in Washington, D.C., and the relation of both of these to voter registration and mobilization.- Organized the information in Zotero and briefed Professor Julilly Kohler-Hausmann on findings for use in her own research.

- Managed grant applications, receiving both microgrants I applied for and allowing us to fund a workshop designed to empower local high school treble singers.- Provided advice to managers of spring tour to Canada.- Coordinated annual raffle and associated donations.- Created an online database to store contacts and information from previous tours.- Stepped in when other officers were unable to fulfill their duties (ex: handled merchandise sales during Reunion Weekend and social media over tour).

- Organized Summer Reading Program with 423 participants, a 5% increase from 2016's numbers and a 23% increase from 2015's numbers.- Coordinated incentives, planned crafts, solicited donations from local businesses, tracked reader participation, and assisted patrons at circulation desk.
